  3. 03Resolve errors and download the edited SRT file.

What this workspace includes

  • Edit individual subtitle cues and their start and end times
  • Report invalid times, overlaps, ordering issues and missing text
  • Shift caption timing earlier or later and download corrected SRT

Example & formatting notes

Incorrect: 00:00:04,000 --> 00:00:03,000

Fix: Make the end timestamp later than the start timestamp.

A validator cannot infer the correct spoken words or audio timings. Review the original audio before changing any problematic cue.

Questions & answers

Does the subtitle file get uploaded? +

No. It is read locally by your browser and not sent to our servers.

Will this translate captions? +

No. It checks SRT formatting and time intervals; it does not translate or transcribe audio.

Can overlapping captions be valid? +

Some workflows intentionally overlap captions. This checker reports overlaps as warnings, not blocking errors.
